The history behind the name ‘edita’

When you have raised 7 children, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, built an internationally successful company and founded a restaurant, would it be time to retire?

Not for Edith and Alois Berger. With a combined age of 166 years, the couple decided to fulfill a lifelong dream to create and build a hotel- one that reflects their various life events and values. This is exactly why the hotel bears the name "edita"- a combination of their names Edith and Alois.

Edith and Alois Berger know how important a home is to a family- it is a place to feel good, comfortable, at ease. Family, cohesion, cordiality, hospitality, entrepreneurship, a zest for living a full and meaningful life- all these elements are a part of the couple’s success, and integral to the way they have lived their lives, and in tern, these elements are what sets Hotel "edita" apart. These elements have been woven into the core of our hotel. Come experience these values in person, as our guest at Hotel "edita".
